Hey, NPR lovers, today’s Radio Times’ first hour is an interview with Kevin Kruse, author of “One Nation Under God: How Corporate America Invented Christian America”.

It’s a pretty good interview. Kruse is an historian and there’s an emphasis on what happened in the past. Specifically they spend a lot of time talking about how phrases like “One Nation under God” and “In God we Trust” were incorporated into our lives. I would have liked more discussion about how the formation of the idea of a christian nation affects politics today. It’s still an interesting listen, and I plan on reading his book to learn more.

There aren’t a lot of callers for this episode, but the people who do call in are pretty hostile to Kruse’s thesis. That surprised me a little, but I guess it shouldn’t have.
